Doug Pflug - Ironwill 360 Fitness Doug started his athletic career as most young athletes do in high school. By the end of high school, Doug lettered in Varsity football, Varsity Wrestling and Varsity Track and Field. During those years Doug won several accolades highlighted by being named Wrestling team MVP and was a member of the 1985 W.C.S.S.A.A City Wide All Star Football Team. Doug then attended the University Of Guelph where he earned athletic letters in both Varsity Football and Wrestling.

He then left University after securing a position with a local law enforcement agency. As A law enforcement officer he continued his athletic pursuits and competed in various Provincial, National, State and International Law Enforcement Track and Field meets. At these meets Doug won over 32 medals including a silver medal in the javelin and bronze medal in the hammer throw at the 1998 International Law Enforcement Olympics held in Birmingham Alabama. In 1990, Doug joined the Our Lady of Lourdes football program as a coach for 8 seasons. A tenure highlighted by two senior and three junior football Championships between 1991 to 1995.Guelph Storm OHL Team

In 1995 Doug accepted a position as the Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Guelph Storm Hockey Club. Over the past 13 years in this position Doug has been responsible for the player’s year round off-ice strength and conditioning. During this time the team has posted .687 win percentages highlighted by four Master Card Memorial Cup appearances and two Ontario Hockley League Championships.

Doug has over 25 years experience in the strength and conditioning field and has accumulated over 35,000 training hours over the past 15 years. To date, he has trained over 200 professional, elite and amateur athletes. 26 of Doug's clients have played in the National Hockey League and 19 of those have also won medals at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships.

Doug also holds a University of Guelph and CAN-FIT-PRO Personal Training Specialist certification as well as a NCCP (National Coaching Certificate Program) Level 3 certificate in soccer. He is an assistant Coach with the Waterloo U12 girls rep soccer team that went 21-0-1 in league play and 44-3-5 overall in 2007. Doug is also an assistant coach with the Guelph Minor Track and Field club that won 18 provincial championship medals by the 17 youths that competed in 2007.
